SUPERB MARIE BY KAMMER & REINHARDT, A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE.

Here we have a superb Marie.  This mould is a wonderful doll more often than not, but this particular example is exceptional.  Her moulding and painting is just so lovely.  Marie is the 101 from the Kammer and Reinhardt 100 character series - and my goodness this particular one - well, what can I say -  her character shines through.  Just look at those beautifully moulded and painted intaglio blue eyes.  She is also a perfect size for this mould - not too big and not too small - measuring around 15 inches.  Her head has no cracks or restoration.  Her wig is stunning, blond, thick mohair with original waves.  Her original jointed body is in amazing condition too with a minimum of play wear.  She is of course of German origin, and dates from around 1909.

Not only is this doll a stunner, but so are her clothes.  I often marvel at the quality of stitching on an original antique doll`s underclothes.  This Marie is no expection.  The buyer will love seeing the fine hand stitching - even down to hand stitched tiny buttonholes - on her original bloomers and full length underskirt.   She wears a beautiful lace topped dress which has as part of it`s design two layers of half slips attached to the dress.  A cream layer with shell stitch edging and a pink layer.  She then has a pale pink silk tie, again part of the dress, at her waist which ties at the rear.  She wears a similar silk ribbon in her hair.  Her outfit is completed with cream socks and lovely cream leather shoes with paste buckles and pink silk trim, incised size marks on the soles. She is an absolute sweetie.  Perfect size for cabinet display.   If you require any further details, just Contact me.  Layaway is available.  The buyer will without doubt absolutely love this Marie!  Do make her yours and don`t miss her!  You will not regret it.
